Equipment yards, port terminals, mining haul roads, and heavy industrial sites subject roads and surfaces to loads far beyond standard construction product requirements. BaseLok® GeoGrid and GeoCell systems are engineered to perform in the most demanding environments reducing aggregate requirements, preventing rutting and failure, and delivering years of dependable service.

Extreme heavy duty roads and surfaces must support heavy construction equipment, mining vehicles, cranes, articulated trucks, and Self Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) that carry millions of pounds of load. Conventional road designs are insufficient for these loading conditions, and failing to address them appropriately can lead to surface failures, downtime, equipment damage, and more.

The BaseLok Foundation Performance System (FPS) was designed specifically for these conditions. Consisting of BaseLok Geogrid or FabGrid combined with BaseLok GeoCell, the FPS creates a dramatically stiffer surface course by distributing loads over a much broader area.
